Could anyone who's replaced all four trailer tyres recently let me know approx cost with fitting. Thanks
I think we were about £200, but that was new wheels as well. We fitted them ourselves.
Make absolutely sure you get the correct specification horse trailer tyres and not car tyres as you could have an accident. (Ask the manufacturers of the trailer which tyres they fit)
A lot of people fit normal car tyres which are not suitable as they are not constructed to take the weight.
We had all 4 replaced recently and it was cheaper to get the whole wheel. (We paid £200 including delivery and fitting) We then sold off the old tyres to a company who shreds them for surfacing and the old wheels went for about £50 on eBay.
And Owlie is absolutely right - be sure you get tyres designed for horse trailers. Not car tyres.
