I'm looking for a sharer for my horse due to lack of time while at Uni and also to help with finances.

He's a 16.2hh gelding, super temperament, fantastic all rounder (competed BSJA, done some dressage and eventing), good to hack alone and in company. Sharer would have good riding facilities, access to indoor and outdoor school. Jumping/dressage events held at yard, so the right sharer could compete him.

Can ride around 3 times a week, could negotiate a Saturday or Sunday sometimes. Would prefer some help with stable chores.

We're in the East of England.

Any idea on price? He's barefoot so share just needs to cover the occasional foot rasp, insurance and stabling fees (he's in at night all year so shavings and feed need to be included).

Thanks

Tbh if the riding is in the week with the occasional weekend negotiable I am think you will be looking at quite a limited amount of people and I would asume that most competitions would be held at weekends.

I would take to cost of the horse per week and divide that by the number of days the sharer gets to ride and see what it works out at. If there is not regular weekend sharing then the price would be considerably less imo.

I could arrange alternate Saturdays/Sundays with the sharer if needed, though ideally I am looking for an adult to ride him around their job. I don't mind what days to be honest, I'm flexible.

He costs me about £200 a month, Summer is the same as Winter as I still have to pay for shavings/feed/hay.

I was thinking £25 a week.... But then the facilities here are very good, as MacTara has pointed out indoor schools cost a lot to hire and ours is available nearly all the time. So maybe a bit more?
