Cost of 1 shoe

Ours are normally about £70 for a new set.

Mine lost a shoe and regular farrier couldn't come out, another farrier quote me £30 to put it back on and another did it for £15 as I had the shoe (normally £20 if didn't have shoe).

im in northampton and my farrier charges
£65 for a full set
£45 for front shoes and trim on the back
£25 for a trim all round
£22 for a trim all round if there is another horse on the yard getteing done at the same time
£10 to put a lost shoe on whether you have the shoe or not

£38 for a lost shoe is expensive!

Oh yeah and my old farrier used to charge me if i didnt pick feet out before he came £1 per foot. just to stop me being lazy lol

Agree that the expense for the lost shoe is expensive.

£65 for a full set.
£30 Trim
£15 for a lost shoe regardless of whether I have old one/new one is put on.

£85 is ridiculously expensive! Is that the going rate in your area? I would ring around and ask if I was you. Full set of shoes costs me £50 for my horse and that's road nails included. He lost a shoe 3 weeks after having a new set on and my farrier replaced it with a new shoe free of charge!
