cost of a 5 stage vetting

I am trying to buy a horse in Lincoln. I live way down South in Surrey, so I don't know any of these vets. I have been quoted £320 for a vetting, is this the going rate up North ?

I had a 5 stage vetting done in April this year with a vets in Lincolnshire and it was £282 inc vat. really nice vet will find details and post later.

We also had one done in april abour £220 but up north so slightly cheaper. Would say under £300 is about right

My vets recently quoted about £250+ travel. I would say over £300 is a bit excessive, but of course you have to go with a vet you are happy with rather than the cheapest

You could ask HHOers who they recommend in the area you are going to, that's how I found a good vet for the last horse I had vetted Good luck!
