Cost of a saddle check

What is everyone paying for just a straightforward saddle check nowadays?

Call out fee plus travel plus alteration, last time was about £150. Obviously would be cheaper if on a shared basis. Remember it costs to get to you and your horse, also was here and working for over an hour so not a cursory visit.

£75 per visit - this normally includes a bit of adjustment and some advise.

I paid £112 this week, that was £25 for the flocking plus the visit cost, travel and VAT.

I charge travel plus £60 for the first horse plus cost of adjustments. A good saddle check should be at least an hour and, unless circumstances dictate not, you should ride after any adjustments.

I paid £60 for a visit which was just me, it included at least 1.5 hours, a bit of flocking added and gullet bar change.

My saddler is a local person which helps and he does it for a hobby more than a job, so I'm aware I get a bloody good deal! x

£75 including callout, there is a discount for regular customers. That's a 90min ridden fitting, can include multiple saddles being tried, or a reflock, gullet change etc.

This is a newly qualified fitter charging £100 inc travel and adjustments. Seems punchy. No objection to paying this, but just wondering what the comparables were.

Mine is £60 plus VAT (£72) for travel, check and any adjustments. Also recently paid £144 (inc VAT) for full reflock, which included visit to check the fit.

£95 which includes basic adjustments - it feels punchy (for my personal budget, I'm not saying she isn't worth it!) but she is absolutely brilliant so I am more than happy to pay it!
