Cost of an MRI?

Has anyone had an MRI scan done at Liphook or Bell Equine lately and have any idea of cost? I am nearing the limit on my insurance and need to find the cheapest! It is for one foot.

Apparently O'Gormans are the cheapest. They are arounf £800 apparently.

O'Gormans did me a good deal and are not too far from Epsom. Very prompt report and kept me updated throughout his stay. Horse is now sound and eventing.

Give them a call. I nearly went down that route and I am in Hampshire. My vet said they are the cheapest. Does your insurance cover any costs?

I have looked at my policy over and over and can't find anything that says they don't, but will phone and check.

I had mine done at Bell Equine - it was about £1100. That was for both feet but I have a feeling the difference between 2 and 1 foot wasn't much.

They do a 10% discount if you pay on the day - i put mine on the credit card.

Big ginger lad had his done at O'Gorman's in Newbury and I think it cost about £700. They are very nice there. Was in overnight in the end as they couldn't scan him on the day we took him in as they had a number of emergencies.

Same as criso, it was just over £1000 at Bell Equine, but that was 4 years ago. I was with Petplan and they paid for all of it, though I appreciate your point Amy about reaching the limit of your cover.
