We are hopefully in the final stages of buying a plot of land next to our house and am looking at costsings for an arena.

To cut the costs down we will be doing all the digging out ourselves with a few helpers, and probably doing all the drainage with my cousin who is a fantastic builder, he built our house for us.

So realistically if we did all this ourselves how much would it cost to do the rest and have the finished article.

The surface at this point I'm not sure about, I currently ride on rubber at my yard and silica and sand at my instructer of which I think I prefer, I think its silica its abit like wool mixed with sand.

The size proabably 20m x 40m , I don't jump.

Thanks in advance

we did ours for just under £10K all in. Approx professional one the same would be £20K. Biggest single cost (£1K) was hire of digger and driver for 1 week to level site and dig enormous french drains, but money was well spent as we've never had a puddle on it.
