hi ,
i,ve recently been given an 20 month colt , he only has one testicle descended and obviously his gelding op is going to cost a fair bit more than normal , has anyone got experience of the op and how much it may cost?

A friend bought a three year old with only one descended testicle, he had major abdominal surgery to find the missing one and it came to around £800 with several post op visits etc. It was completely successful by the way.

I had a yearling with only one descended but after a poke about vet found it. Didn't charge any extra then normal which is usually around £350 - £375

Are you sure hes not just retaining it when your having a feel? Thats what my boy did, scared me alot as the vet came out said one had gone, then it reappeared... Apparently its not an abnormal occurence (or so he said, I had never heard of it before though)
