My Mum's loaning out her coloured warmblood stallion, for non-breeding purposes.

She wants to outline what the loan agreement should include, then have it drawn up by a solicitor.

Does anyone know how much, roughly, this would cost? Are there any firms that specialise in this sort of thing, also, what should the agreement include?

I suggested the basics; feet done every 6-8 weeks, jabs done, worming, not to moved from stated loan address without prior consent....

There's a really good one on the BHS site. You can tailor it to your own specification.

The BHS one is a good guideline but I don't think it's worth the paper it's written on unless a lawyer is present. I could be wrong but I'm sure I've read that this is the case.

Of course it would stand up - a contract is a contract and if it's witnessed by witnesses then they would be brought to caught if there was a dispute....
