Hello - has anyone gone down this route and tested for painkillers present during a five stage vetting. Im considering it but would like to have an idea of the cost before starting the process. Many thanks.

Why not simply ask your vet - they will tell you how much they'll charge you.

when i asked the vet about this last year they were going to charge £200

Yes, I would imagine that it would be around this sort of price.

My horses blood tests were around £85 each for the haematology and chemistry. I work in a hospital path lab where they cost around £20 each.... same tests, same machines, rip off!

i paid just short of £200 last year for tests for two substances on a stored sample early last year
