My horse has hock arthritis and the vet has recommended that her hocks are medicated. They have quoted £475 plus sedation to have both hocks injected at my yard (steroids, no Tildren). This sounds like quite a lot to me and I was expecting around the £250 mark. What does everyone else pay for having joints medicated?

Recent bill was £500 ish but that included xrays too as well as 1 hock being medicated. Xrays were around £300.
So I suppose if you need both hocks medicated, that's how it seems so costly?

I have just paid to have the coffin joint medicated in one foot on one of my horses and it was about £120. The x-rays were about another £300 on top of that.
