Cost of horse - does any one play it down to OH???!!

My stock answer to everything is "It was £20.00" and, if he sees one of the many vet bills we've had over the years "It's on insurance"

It does burn me up though when he's talking to other people and refers to the horses as a costly project for "us" because there's no us about it. We have separate accounts, he pays for half of the household bills only and this doesn't include the horses.

I typed out a lot after this but it just makes me realise how huge an issue it is to me and one that we never discuss. Suffice to say he is loaded and careful and I am...not :D

God yes! Doesn't everyone, then??! LOL. :D

It doesn't matter that I pay for my horse's expenses out of my own money. It's my husband's view that ANY money spent on any of our family pets is wasted money. If he had his way he'd get shot of the lot of them. And he tells us so daily. Often more than once a day!

Mind you... he's got me and our four children and I think he feels the same way about us most of the time. Ho hum. "Marry in haste, repent at leisure" as they say

Best he's kept in the dark about most of what the kids and I do for fun - else we'd never have any fun. ;)
