Cost of Loaning - What is Acceptable?

I normally pay £20 +/- and half to shoes but I think I would pay more for an easy horse if that makes sense? Good luck finding some one anyway!

I know of people who pay £150-200 a month to share horses that they ride only 2-3 times a week, so they do exist! These horses are on full livery though so the sharers can just turn up and ride then go again of they want! (though most are good and make sure the horse is well groomed, clean tack etc). They are all fairly good riders who would love their own horse but just don't have time due to busy jobs/lifestyles. I think people are prepared to pay more as long as they don't have to do chores like mucking out, I think this would put people off. If you needed to include mucking out in the deal then you'd have to charge them less (or maybe say they could just skip him out that day?) Also I think people like to have set ammounts to pay, so they no where they stand, no extras like farriers/vets etc on top of what they pay already. So either incoporate this into the price or don't charge for it. Hope this helps.
