I did get charged £8 a week if I paid 6 months up front, more by the week. The yard says this is what the rates for the car park cost them.

£30 a month for 3.5 tonnes and trailers in Kent, not sure about 7.5 as they do take up a lot more room!

Nothing at any yard I've kept a box at (four, across the south and southwest). They were all different setups, some had CCTV, one had no gates between the parking and the road, one had owners on site, all had other livery's boxes parked there too (also FOC). I was paying livery for horses at all of the yards, but the fee was the same whether you parked a box there or not. I have a trailer, but others had vans/lorries. One yard owner said if the number of boxes increased any further they would charge £5 a month per box as they would have to extend the hardstanding (it didn't happen).

I think I have been lucky, and I don't think it is at all unreasonable for owners to apply a charge as boxes take up a lot of room, usually on valuable hardstanding that could be used for parking or put to another use. I currently rent somewhere as sole tenant and keep my box there FOC too.

I used to pay £10 per month for my trailer. That's the only yard I've had to pay on. I now have a 7.5t and it costs me an extra £50 a year in insurance to keep it on the road opposite my house!

I have paid £5 per week on a DIY yard and on a private caravan storage yard that was very near a yard I was on. Currently on full livery and the price is the same if you keep your box there or not.

Nothing. It's at your own risk but the yard is gated & has cctv everywhere.

The 3 other yards I have been on all charged between £30-45/month for a lorry and had varying levels of security. All 4 yards in Surrey.

£15 per month and only an option if you're a livery. There are no gates, and it's on gravel, but it does have security lights.
I'd be lost without it, there' no chance of parking it at home.
