I am in the final process of finishing off my school - drainage is all in place and I am shopping around for sand to put underneath the rubber.

The cheapest I have found is £35 per tonne for silica sand, can anyone recommend anyone else or know if I can get it cheaper?

Do I really need silica sand if I am putting rubber on top or can I get away with the cheaper options?

I am based in mid Kent if that helps!

That sounds about right.... £35.

Def go for silica sand, you'll regret it if you don't. Other sand gets very deep as the granules are not angular! Thats why silica sand sticks together and doesn't get deep, especially with rubber on top.

The beat quote i had last year was from a Co called Ardula - 01622873300, im sure it was less than that? im also in Kent!

I had a quote of £35 for Fibresand, so £35 for plain silica sand sounds a little bit £££ to me?
Equestrian Direct do a Pro sand which was about £28/ton and Bardo (advertise in H&H in a lineage advert) silica sand is £22/ton.
All prices are for sand only, haulage and VAT to go on top.
