cost of stomach scope

If anyone has had their horse scoped for ulcers recently, could you advise me on the approximate cost.

£200, give or take (at the vets BTW).

The expensive bit is not the scoping, the expensive bit is the treatment - make sure you are insured up to the hilt, my bill was several hundred over my insurance limit of £5K

Merial (company that make gastroguard) organise ulcer awareness days where you can get your horse scoped for free. Might be worth finding out if there's one in your area sometime if it's not an emergency.

Otherwise £1-200 ish depending on the practice.

my friend had her horse done before chrismas. £100 to do the test. she watched it on a TV screen when the vet was doing it & said it was very wierd
