Floss the dog has to be done soon because he is now old enough to whip em off but can you guys give me a rough-ish cost of the op.Bearing in mind that Floss has retained one in his abdomen..
Also i'm feeling really guilty about the pain the poor sod is going to be in after the op,is there any aftercare that he will need?.Yes i'm a neurotic owner..

Yep. Keep the walks shortish too, but regular.

Obvs the restrictions are to make sure the stitches don't stretch or burst.
I had to do it for a whole two weeks because the vets closed for holidays. Managed to keep him on the ground for 12 days, on the 13th we had visitors (Col I think?) and he cleared the dog guard in one bound, to come and say hi

is it def in his abdomen or could it be inguinal? cost will vary a lot depending on which one. our standard prices are between £100-£150 depending on size of dog, but it would be nearly double that for an abdominal testicle.

Thanks Star.He is a Collie..I'm sorry i'm not sure if its inguinal or not..If he lays flat on his with legs in the air you can feel it and if you push down gently on either side its pops up...i dont know if thats any help.

that means it's inguinal if you can feel it - that's much better news - much easier to get out and should only be about £50 more than normal.
