Has anyone had an aluminium horsebox floor installed? I'm curious about the potential cost on a lorry I am looking to buy. It currently has a single skin marine ply which I would not want to travel with. Area is 8ft wide by about 10 foot long.

Also, how was yours installed? Aluminium then marine ply/wood on top then rubber? Or just aluminium with rubber on top?

Thanks in advance

Not a lorry but just did my ifor 505. Cost £500 for the floor then I installed it myself. Cost of installation would have been approx 150 apparently.

Another one only with experiences of an Ifor Williams trailer, mine is a 13yo 510, so a bit larger than Equi’s. This is the aluminium floor pictured at the w/e during a spring clean, not a dent in sight. It has a loose fitting one piece rubber mat which fits on top. I think it’s important that the matting can be lifted to air out the floor, so wouldn’t favour matting which is bonded to the floor.

The main Ifor dealer guy told us that he’s never had to replace an Ifor aluminium floor as they last so well, so they must be building them right.
