Costs for Injections etc

Hi - I wonder if anyone could give me an idea of what the cost would be for their vet to supply the following:-

Passport drawing for one horse
Box of 60 Danilon
Injections (full course of three) for five horses
Worm - Five horses

Just really looking for general idea of cost as my own vet seems to be quite expensive for this 'shopping list' so just wondering if its worth shopping around or if his quote is pretty realistic

About £600 including visits for the vaccines.

Is the horse microchipped? (about £39 if so; £21 if not)
Danilon ~£60
Jabs @~£36 each (£540)
Wormer - depends what you want...~£20/tube (£100)

Oh and visits - at least 3 (for the jabs) ~£35 each for arguements sake

Estimate (v rough.) = £845.....GULP

If horse is microchipped you can do the passport drawing yourself (or at least this used to be the case); if not I would recommend getting horse microchipped at same time as passport (in fact, I think you have to these days?) ... just to add an expense!

Wormers, you can buy online - remember needs to be UK site as buying from abroad is not legal. Approx £12/tube to cover 500kg ish each.

60 Danilon ... £10 for the prescription, then £35 from online pharmacy.

Jabs -- the expensive bit!
