My yard is having a friendly sj comp for the liveries and apparently we have to get dressed up..

All i can think of is to go as an eventer as me and my boy are the complete opposite (he's scared of puddles)

Any (cheap) suggestions welcome.

Magners and raspberries for all ;)

Found these ideas on google...

~I went as a bumble bee (cheap costume of ebay) and dressed my horse as a flower with loads of flowers bobbles all in his mane ad tail (was gonna paint flowers on him too but rain our of time!)
~Cowgirl and rode in western tack
~Pirate including an eye patch for horse as she only has one eye!
~Princess with long dress overhanging the horse's sides
~Fairy (easy to get costume off ebay) though she didnt dress her horse up just covered him in glitter!

you could put on a snorkel, wet suit and flippers put a sign on saying getting ready for the water jump. that's if your horse is 100% bombproof then add some swim arm bands to the horses legs and if the horse will let you add goggles to the eyes

chestnut horses look GREAT with tiger stripes painted on, then dress up as a jungle person or explorer or tiger cub and away you go!

you can use the rug template for just about anything! We once dressed a chestnut as a tree! We stuck heaps of paper leaves all over the bright green fabric and dressed the rider as Robin Hood - we won 1st all over for 3 years with that costume untill it eventually fell to bits!

Let us know whatever you choose! Pictures too :)

At PC camp, on the final day a lot of children went mental with their chalk, and we had ponies coming out as tigers, zebras and pandas...

Or wearing a cape and red boxers over blue jods and a blue t-shirt and you're superman and Robin? Maybe all black with a big balaclava and draw little axes all over your horse, and you're an executioner?
