Where do you buy your feed? Due to family issues we’re driving up to Banbury most weekends at the moment and it would be really helpful if I could stop on the way to stock up on feed and bedding but Google isn’t coming up with many options, not on the route we take anyway. It’s such a horsey area, I can’t imagine there’s nowhere so I’m assuming they just don’t need to advertise that much?

We go from the M5 via Andoversford, Stow and Chipping Norton so anywhere roughly in that area would be great. I know there’s the saddlery in Stow but I don’t think they sell food?

No the saddlery doesn’t have feed.
Phipps feeds is near Stow, they have a great selection of stuff and are good at ordering in if they don’t have what you’re after. They now also have a pick up point shed on the road so if they are closed when you want to collect they give you a code to open the door.
I’m the other side of Burford so tend to go to Cirencester but that’s too far for you.

Surprisingly I don’t think there is all that many places. I can’t think of anywhere now Chipping Norton way, I know Stow very well and there’s nothing round there.
They don’t do good but Andoversford to Stow you’re almost passing Colne Saddlery which is nice for a look!

Thanks all, will work out which is the shortest detour!

With a £4k vet bill and no sound horse at the moment, Colne will have to wait poiuytrewq!

We could go M4 Jct 18 and up through Cirencester. It’s only 15 minutes longer and nice for a change sometimes.

Croft’s has a good selection in Banbury itself. A brilliant pet and feed store with plenty of parking. Saltway is another good one and is just outside Banbury on the Broughton Road. Further out on the Stratford Road is Red Horse Fuels who have a very large well stocked feed selection.

If you are really stuck for time please give me a PM with what you need and I can collect for you during the week and we can do a car boot transfer in the local area at the weekend. I use Saltway mostly because it’s closest to my yard.

Thank you, that’s so kind. We take FiL into Banbury most Saturdays to do his shopping and pick up his prescription so it sounds like Crofts would work.

Oh ok, well there you have Henry Cole’s at Ewen. I have been but tend not to or a Mole Valley Farmers which is near the motorway. They are the cheaper option. They do a fairly good selection, not as good as Phipps but it all depends what you want.
