Cough,cough,cough!

My Pony has all of sudden got a nasty cough that i have stopped riding him because of. He has had it for 6 days now, i was riding him until monday then decided to give him time off to see if it clears up. I have no idea whats caused it as many things have changed for him. As it seems to be getting no better do you think i should just call the vet or does anyone know of anything that may stop it before i do? Your suggestions will be apprecated! Thanks, Abbie

I would get the vet. They can listen to see if there's anything wrong with the lungs and prescribe any medication to put the pony on his road to recovery, usually ventopulmin.

Don't leave him to get worse...

Definitely get the vet. It may be nothing much, but if it something more serious you need to catch it while it is still in its early stages and manageable. And you are right not to ride him till the problem has been diagnosed.
