Cough

My 7 mth old Lurcher pup was barking tonight and I commented that it sounded sort of hoarse, well tonight hes coughed, only twice, should I be concerned. Hes regulary with other dogs but they are the same ones and they dont leave the stables, so dont come into contact with other dogs and they are all fine.

I'd go to the vet. Sounds a bit like kennel cough, it is about again at the mo. Keep in quarantine until you are sure.

I think Ive been doing the 'new doggy owner worry' as hes been fine tonight but I will keep my eye on him and let the vet have a look at him if he coughs again.

Glad to be of help. We all worry endlessly about our pets be it dogs,cats or horses. I always act on the cautious side. Rather be safe than sorry.
He could have just got something stuck but as you said, keep an eye (and ear) on him and if worried get him checked.
