How long would you leave a horse with a cough, white snotty discharge but no temperature before ringing the vet?
Thank you. I do think he's ill though as it came on quite quickly and he doesn't normally have any breathing/coughing problems. He seems a bit quiet too, although better than he was on Sunday. But the cough is worse than yesterday, and the snot! Yuk. Anyway I called the vet but they're not coming until Thursday so I'm hoping he makes a miraculous recovery tomorrow. That sounds like an allergic reaction, so, if I couldn't work out the trigger and remove it, I would ring the vet now and book a non -urgent appointment.
if quiet and with any discharge, a vet....they dont have to have a temperature, but lungs damage quickly like eyesHow long would you leave a horse with a cough, white snotty discharge but no temperature before ringing the vet?
