Is there anything that you know of that stop horses coughing?? My horse is on Hayledge and Paper bedding but he has a real bad cough especially in the mornings.
Did not know if you can get some stuff that would help with it??

Thanks

It may be an infection, in which case the vet will need to prescribe antibiotics.
Other than that look for a herbal supplement with marshmallow in it to get rid of mucus. Nettle is also good as rich in antioxidants to support healthy lung tissue.

if there are no other syptoms then you could use nomal human cough mixture if it gets worse or doesnt clear up then i would get vet to take a look

Definitely call the vet if it won't clear up.
My 23 yr old Shetland - who's stabled at night, rugged in wet / cold weather whilst turned out and fed Hayledge was diagnosed with a chest infection on both sides a few weeks ago.
I felt terrible, as he was totally normal apart from what I thought was a dry cough in the mornings. Anyway Ventapulmin for 2 weeks and 6 days of antiobiotics and he's better.

I would call the vet now as you've done all you can management wise and it's still not shifting. My horse has just been diganosed with possible COPD after only having a slight cough, she was put on ventapulin for a week which cleared up the cough nad seemed very normal and perfectly healthy but her resting breaths a minute rate was 18 rather than being 9 so now she has an inhaler which has brought her breathing rate down loads and now I only need it occationally.
I would check your horses resting breaths a minute.
