Someone 3 inches taller, and 1.5 stone heavier than me for pootling about the menage, no jumping, just walk trot canter....Pulling he takes a 350KG carriage, 25 stone of people on heavy going.

He is 13.3, 8/16 welsh D, 7/16 welsh C and 1/16 arab for his exact breeding.

Would you say that was to much?

my 13hh welsh cross carries a fair height and weight of rider, your pony is stocky like mine and im sure if he's struggling he'l let you know!

Im 5'4 BTW, and you can see he really takes up my leg. I'm heavier than I would like, just about the 2 figure mark in stones

Well I am 5ft6 and this little welshie had no trouble carrying me for the fun games on sunday

She is around the 12hh mark I think, however I had to go without my stirrups as she belongs to one of the kids and they were too small

So yes I think yours would have no trouble at all.

im 5'5 so i look bigger on tinker than you do on your pony, tinker carries 2 figure in stones no probs so your pony will be fine!!

Lady who is a welsh B x Arab will happily carry a 5foot 3 11.5 stone well balanced rider for walk/trot with the odd canter on hacks up to 1.5 hours and schooling for 30 mins.

Im 5'8 and 10.5 stone and my pony is 13.3 and he carries me no problem, so Im sure yours would be fine!
