Could haylage be making my horse irrational?

The haylage is home grown so the YO's are very precious about it - I suspect they have somehow taken offence that I am suggesting I use hay.

oh dear - why cant things be simple, I didnt think it would be a big deal! Surely it works out better for them as I am paying for haylage that I wont be using and will be arranging the hay delivery myself.

I found a supplier that sells 100x50x40cm bales so was going to get a couple delivered every week.
 
Could you just try yours on hay for a trial period and see if it makes then difference, explain to the YO what you are doing and then go forward from there if it calms your girl down
