YO's new pony is abit of mix of breeds, but mainly welshie (he has sec a, c, and d in him), anyway on his back right leg he has a long sock and then it stops, but acouple of inches futher up the leg he has a single white dot (about the size of a golf ball), because of this could he be classified as a coloured - even though we will always call him a chestnut.

But I was just intreged to know.

Not according to CHAPS

'The definition of a “coloured” animal is black and white (piebald) or white and any other colour, e.g, bay, roan, chestnut (skewbald) with a patch of naturally occuring white coat. This white patch must be on the body above the level of the stifle or elbow, excluding face markings. Any white marking below this does not qualify. Manes and tails may also be white or have white in them. Appaloosa animals with belly markings do not qualify.'

no dont think so. the patch has got to be a certain width etc and im sure above a certain height before they can be classed as coloured. its the same as the clydesdale patch under the belly wouldnt or didnt used to class them as coloured.

Here's a picture of him

Is she the one in your siggy? I'd say she was sabino. The OP's horse sounds like a sabino too.
