So delighted as I am with my new 3yo, I'm feeling a bit guilty as my mum was hoping to share him, and it's quickly becoming apparent that she's not going to be able to ride him for ages, if at all. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to look for something on loan for her to ride, and to act as a nanny when mine starts to hack out.
However, she is very novice and a bit nervous, and I have no idea if the kind of horse she could ride would ever be up for loan. She wouldn't want to do more than hack and do some light schooling, and would be happy with something older. But it would have to be completely genuine and sensible. Do these sort ever come up for loan? Would she be better off looking to rehome one from a charity? Or will we just have to save up and buy another?
