ETA: I won't be doing many shows, just local low-key stuff/Riding club, so don't want to spend a fortune and this is in the sale.

For unaff showjumping then yes, but it is the wrong cut, has too long a collar, buttons on the pockets etc.

just ebay! I once had a £10 showjacket off there.

I can't see your picture as I'm at work, but I got my black show jacket off ebay for £1.99! It looked a bit scruffy/ dirty in the pics so noone was bidding and I got it. Gave it a good wash and it's fine :-)

Narrh sorry but it would look dreadful, if you want a bargain show jacket trot along to York Horse Sales, there is a lady that has a stall outside that sells loads of second hand jackets/gillets/jods, I picked up a beautiful Caldene show jacket, it had been cleaned and it was only £20, plus you can try them on and she has a long mirror so you see yourself in it.

no, really it will look awful, at any standard of show

have a look out at saddlers ads, sales/local papers ads/ebay/ ask mates if theyve anything old they dont want...

I don't think it will look right, I think you will 'feel' wrong so you will end up buying another one anyway!

I went to a horse auction, they had loads of horsey clothes in a seperate auction and brought a Caldene black pure wool jacket for £12.00, it is brand new with the price tag on of £172.99 - it's worth having a hunt around!

ive got a lovely jacket i need to get round to ebaying, it was a present off OH and cost towards £150 - £200 i think?

ive never worn it, still got the tags/price ticket on...its a 38" jacket and im a size 8!

they wouldnt let me return it, theres nothing wrong with it as they said at the shop, not their fault my OH bought the wrong size, grrr
they only have to take faulty things back really

still, i dont go back there, they werent very nice about it lol

you can get dublin show jackets pretty cheap as they arent exactly top of the range mines wwas only £30 was a bargain compaired to my tweed jacket coming in at just under 100
