Don't think I've asked for one of these before so if I could have some feedback that would be useful and appreiciated.

I've bobbed a link rather than a photo so hopefully within TnC but its just one I took today of a side view.

I joke about him being a cut n shut so I won't be offended with his faults, because I'm used to seeing him I don't spot them quite the same as a fresh pair of eyes, I don't think he was blessed with the best pair of back legs myself.

Thanks

Lovely front end. Nice head and well set on neck. Good sloping shoulder. Plenty of bone. Nice short back and well muscled rump.

Bad points: Weak second thigh, slightly overbent hocks and a little too much belly. I nice chap though!

Thanks :)

I think he looks quite weak behind, he seems to be a chunky monkey up front but I don't think his backend matches if you see what I mean.

Is he what you'd call camped out behind, nobody has said that but the angle does look a little off.

Yes Wagtail, your spot on with the second thigh...and your other bad points actually, he's always been like it,

Stupid phone, sorry was saying, he was like it as a 2 year old, I thought it would be something that would improve with work, it does a little, he's lost some muscle due to not being ridden as much (saddle issues) but I did manage to build him up behind with lots of hacking previously, I don't like to do too much lunge work, suppose you can't have it both ways though.

Thanks

I would say he is a little weak behind but l still think he is lovely :)

Lovely looking lad Kenzo and if he does what you want, what does it matter however, did notice one fault...............puple feet!!! lol

I'm ashamed to say this but he has actually lost some weight as they have eaten the best of the grass off now, which is a good thing considering he's not been in as much work...apart from trying saddles that is and the odd lunge work.

I was naughty as well and cut his mane with some scissors...sack the groom! lol

By the way thank you for the lovely comments also.

Ha ha ah yes those discraceful purple OR boots, he's due for a new set now, think I best choose a little more wisely this time, could of been worse, they could of been pink! lol

Nikkimariet - Did he grey out completely?

A lot of people say they are surprised that's he's not more grey now, he goes a lot darker in winter too, goes a rain brown colour in summer but nearly black with little fine white flecks in, his mane and tail have got lighter though, he's 7 now, how old is Bruce and out of interest what colour is Bruce's sire and dam?

i think hes lovley. just my type and very similar stamp to one of ours who is highland x tb mare. Being nosey whats his breeding and height?
i also think you are one very cruel mummy making him wear purple over reach boots ....

He's 16.1 although he gives the impression he's bigger as he stands tall when he's not like a dope, people think he's bigger than he is and are surprised when I say he's 16.1 but I've measured him a few times with my measuring stick.

He's not papered but is supposed to be WB x ID/TB as I bought him off the people that bred him, his sire is Omar, have a photo of him as a goal at foot as his dam looks like a ID type, his site has some ID in as well, so no proof really of parentage.

Some people have said he looks like a Connie cross, some say he looks like he's got some native in him, he's like a giant pony attitude wise lol.

Bruce is 15 this year. He is actually 'liver chesnut' according to his passport (similar to the rain brown colour you mentioned I imagine). Started getting light dapples on bum and neck around 8 and he now looks like he does in my sig. Would have said from age 10 onwards he was a light dapple grey.

His sire is Cummer Hero who was chestnut, his dam is Millie (S - Super Splash, D - Lady Emily) whom I have no idea about coat colour!!
