Could I really have missed my Weims first season?

Is that possible given her size? (28kilos)
Molly is now 2 and as far as I can tell, hasn't come into season yet
My vet looked at me as if I was a bit dim when I said this, and inferred that I must have missed it given her age, but i'm pretty certain there would have been something going on that was differrent to the norm, even for a few days, and there's been nothing.
I know many of you with large breed dogs have a lot more experience than me, so would you just not worry about her lack of season or could I have missed it?
I was waiting as ideally I wanted to spey after her first or second one and am not sure whether to leave it still, or just go ahead anyway .

I can't help re big dogs but my minihound's first season showed no change in behaviour and only very light blood. I know some dogs have clear seasons with no blood at all so it might be possible.
I'd probably book the spey though as she's mature now.

If she’s not coming in season, or it’s not inconveniencing you, I’d leave her entire until you know either way.

My late whippet had what I can only assume was a silent season.

She had travelled in the back of the truck with two entire dogs. Both of these dogs lived together and had never had a cross word between themselves before.

About half way through our walk, it was like a switch had flicked and they both became OBSESSED with her. To the point where they had a fight over it. It was the weirdest thing.

No bleeding or swelling or anything else, but entire males became very interested where they had not before so I treated her like she was having a season for a few weeks and then all peace was restored.

I was wondering if nothing has happened ( or was totally silent as Jenko experienced) as there are no other dogs near us and I now walk alone with mine 99% of the time. We are very isolated here. Most of the time I don't even see people, let alone dog walkers or even dogs really, except for penned hunting hounds

I had a GSD bitch who didn't have her first season till just short of 3 years. I know I didn't miss her because I had a stud dog at the time and he would have told me. On the vets advice she was mated on that first season and had a healthy litter and then went onto have perfectly normal 6 monthly seasons.

The collie we used to have at the farm never showed in season. It was only after we moved in with my mum when she was 8 and she started flirting with mum's little bitch that we had any idea if she was in season. She did become diabetic at about 12 which was hormone related and had to be spayed. That stopped the diabetes fortunately.

One of my Labradoodles either didnt come into season until she was nearly two, otherwise I missed her first and maybe second ones.
