Could I tow and empty 510 with a Mondeo estate?

My disco is at the wrong end of the country, could I tow an empty 510 with my mondeo estate? Just need to move it but will be going on the motorway.

It should cope with towing it... not sure on legalities of MAM etc

Yes - a Mondeo estate can tow up to 1800kg, an empty 510 is 995kg I believe?
