Have been thinking about it for a while. This is all I got for her in terms of an irish passport, from the imformation that is on there i.e vets name and address and place of issue, would i be able to find any more imformation on her or do any of you irish peeps out there know the place. It says Lissenard, would this be a house or a place, can't find anything about it on the web. I know this is really random and a long shot but thought someone might be able to shed some light?
Any imformation and advice would be great.

Hi

is there a microchip number on her passport? I cant really see the scan clearly. what is her breeding and u can look it up. I think i can read that it was 1999 is that right? was this the date of foaling? The irish horse board would probably be able to trace it for you but if u no any of that stuff i can have a look through the stuff i have of foal records and marebooks.

Unfortunatly there is no microchip or sire/dam imformation, just says sport horse under Breed. Do you recognise the place at all? Lissenard, Tynagh, L Galway? I think i'm looking at a blank canvas really aren't I

You could try to contact the vet clinic over there and ask, nothing to lose. They might be able to either give you the name of the breeder or pass on your details to them for them to get in touch with you. After all, it's not that big a place and like here, if I went to our vets with an address, chances are they would know straight away who or where it was. It might mean you sending them some stamped addressed envelopes but has to be worth a try. If it comes off, I bet an Intaflora gift or something would go down well with the practice nurses!

I did think about doing this, i can't find a fax or Email address for them so i might send them a copy of the document i have got and see if they can do anything, like you say worth a try.

Yea without any sire/ dam info or a microchip its hard to find. Jsut form looking i think that the lissenard may be a surname rather than a place. I searched for that in tynagh in galway but nothing came up. sorry cant help more!

Thanks anyway sherwood, really appreciate it. I'm going to send copy to the vets i think and also get intouch with the dealer a bought her from to see if she can give me more imfo. I did ask when i first got her but i know she is very busy and seems to not have much time for this sort of thing. I will give it another go. Thankies!

you could ring the vets and see if they can give you any info. The number would be 00353 91 841935. The vets name is Megan Evans, based in Loughrea. The townland where the examination was done is Lissenard, this could be a hll in the middle of nowhere!! Worth trying th vets as the receptionist would (hopefully) know the townland perhaps the owner/breeder. The passprt might have been issued to the owner at the time and not the breeder. Is it a blue or green book? Or just an id chart from the sales

Thanks Hati, unfortunatley it is just an id card, so i have very little imformation really, i'm going to give the vets a try, think i will send them a copy of it rather than try to explain, do you know of the vet?
