As you know Hemir is not 100%. This morning he was trotting and cantering about in the field and having fun. And didn't look like he was in pain at all!! I was wondering if I could take him out for a walk in hand or not. Not for long say 20mins around the village! It would get him out and about without having someone on top. He was very good when a VERY small lightwight 10yr old got on the other day - he did nothing and had his ears forward so she obviously didn't hurt his back

We have our reasons for doing this!

Do you think he would be ok if i took him out for a walk, or do you think I should just bring him in, groom him then put him back out?

thanks

well he told me to start walking 2 days after he came and then take it slowly, but then the farrier said his sciatic nerve was trapped so bes tto get him out again...vet is on holiday at the moment and back on Monday. the only back specialist around is 3 hours away and very busy until weds next week. He said we could have taken him up tomorrow, but we can't as dad has to put the floor back down and he's out today.
