Morning All,
I could do with some feedback..
Found my small pony lame yesterday - quite a limp/head nodding from near fore.
She has a horizontal red line bruising about 1mm thick and 5 cm long running round a third of the way down her hoof. Had loose shoes about 1 half ago with small pus in the frog. This particular hoof has always been boxier than the others. All white feet, used to crack all the time but have been generally good and solid in recent years.
She is overweight, but ridden at least 5 days a week ranging from mild hack to hard work depending on ground conditions. Very hard to keep weight off, lives out 24/7, aged 13, turned lame overnight.
Any ideas, am feeling like its going to be laminitis..am calling vet for some advice once I get off work...
