Could someone please help me with a dressage move?

Long Free Rein Walk FEM.

Now, do I aim just before E, from F and turn smoothly at E to M or do I aim directly for E and turn sharply towards M - or other?

Any advice very gratefully received - Thanks

I'd aim very slightly before and do a balanced turn, so that it apears you are turning over E...if that makes sense?!

i agree with Finn, you should aim slightly before E so that the horse is totally straight and on the track by the time you get to E, i think. that's how i was told to do it (by List 1 dr judge).

Thank you both - I think its quite a difficult move in Long Free rein walk - I guess the judge will be looking mostly at my leg aids?

they'll be looking at straightness, tempo, balance, contact, relaxation, stretch... don't forget you can do a gentle half-halt in free walk on a long rein (i have only just realised this!)

Practice at home with someone on the ground as you may feel your horse is walking on a long rein but more than likely he is not, I know from experience!
