Couldn't have happened to a nicer girl

Just a happy happy post really.

Young girl at my yard, absolutely adores horses, totally committed, worked on the yard on weekends for years, good sensative rider... well she doesn't have her own horse as her parents (dad mainly) aren't keen on the cost.

However, they recently agreed that she could have a summer loan if she could find one and today my friend and I took her to see a gorgeous Welsh/TB/Coloured cross just up the road.

She had a super ride on the mare, there was no arena, just a HUGE XC course!!!!!!! Girl had never gone XC but the mare was very sweet and they just got on with it together and she had an amazing time.

Basically to cut a long story short, hopefully the mare will be coming down to the yard for her, for the summer next week. Bless her heart, she sat in the car on the way back and cried her eyes out, she was so happy.

I must admit, I nearly cried too, she is such a super girl and really deserves this. She helped me with my horse when I was in hospital, she will ride anything for anyone and do all mucking out etc just for the chance to learn.

It is great when hard work and determination finally pays off for someone.
