I have put my name on the waiting list and was just wondering what's the average you pay for your council owned grazing?

Do you get stables/water or just the field?

Are you restricted to how many horses?

Thanks :)

I'm on parish council land I pay for 4 acres and self filled trough with natural shelter and charge 104.00 every 3 months each horse
placements is split into 2 acre fields and allow max 3 horses either side

I have 4 acres leased from New Forest Council. The field didn't have a water supply when I took it on so I paid for that (not much as there was a capped off main by the gate), I am responsible for all maintenance of fences, gates etc and am only allowed a maximum of 4 horses but the land won't sustain that many anyway, two is fine. I am not allowed to erect any sort of shelter etc without the Council's permission and it costs just on £700 for a 10 month lease including the £50 legal fee for the actual grazing licence document. The real pain is the fact that it is only a 10 month lease (I believe most councils are the same) so I have to find somewhere else for the other two months.
