Countryfile this morning - Shire horses

Was talking about how since the improvements in farming technology, shires are being made redundent etc. Plus how they're now being used for other things such as heavy horse driving & being ridden

Showed quite a bit of one being schooled on the flat & jumping. Plus how they make pretty good hunters etc

Finished off with Ben Fogle riding one down a lane.

Anyone else see it?

No unfortunately I missed it

But they do tend to cover horsie stuff quite a bit...which is always a good thing! I like shires and think they look very majestic...but they are just too big for me riding wise...I like a nice 15hh!!!

No...But there becoming but more involed in jumping which is understandable with there lovely powerful back end...More a shire cross girl myself...

Does anyne know if its repeated,or available anywhere else?

I'd love to see a Shire jumping.I dont know if my big girl can even jump but it would be great to see someone try and jump her!!!
