Countryfile

My horse is from HEROS (pictured to the left). He's not always easy, but he is certainly the most rewarding horse I've had. I love him to bits and we are having tremendous fun together and Re: Dorvian's post - we are perfectly matched!

They do such a good job at Hero's and every horse is looked after superbly well. There have been hundreds of success stories, and my horse's partnership with me is one of them. I think it was an unfortunate, freak accident. No one at Hero's would have let Matt ride her, if they thought there was any possibility she'd do that. It would have been better and fairer for the programme to have ended on a positive rather than ending it right there on the negative after Matt had come off.

haha he prob said that he was an experienced rider on his CV when applying to get the job on country-file so couldn't go back on his word!

Isn't he the guy who, having never sat on a horse in his life, rode some sort of marathon trek across Exmoor (or somewhere) last year? Golden Horseshoe, or something like that?! Though I might have imagined that. So they know he can't ride because they had to send him for RS lessons. If I remember correctly, he had about 3 lessons then rode this 100 mile trek.

No, wrong guy. He's been riding a 'bit' for several years.
