First one:

Not entirely sure if im referring to a breed here, or simply colouring...but when i was a kiddie (a longggg time ago) i had a loan of a little pony, probably about 12/12.2hh, he was a bay roan (black mane and tail) very spritely and had a HUGE jump in him. I never found out what breed he was, and assumed he was a mixture of stuff. However, over the years, i have seen many identical ponies, all fizzy, all bay roans who if i didnt know better could have been the same pony. he wasnt spindly, but not cobby, just inbetween... for all you patient readers, (who probably think im being a tool)... does this sound like a breed you know of, or is it literally just colouring and coincidence?

Second question;

Im new on here...and whilst i get most of the lingo, im still puzzled by a few things.

YO- yard owner???
OP- original poster?
IME- ???
IME- ???

I think sometimes that ive learnt what they mean, but then its used in a different context, and i get confused again!

Much appreciated you lovely people :)

Cant say for breed. Sounds like a typical heinz 57 pony to me. Bit like my mixture!
IME i think means in my experience or atleast that's what i use it for.
IMO is in my opinion.
Ps welcome!

IME In my experience
IMO In my opinion
You were right with OP and YO, YM is yard manager
AFAIK As far as I know
IIRC If I remember correctly
I'm sure there are plenty more...

:) Sorry, no help with the pony breed although could be dartmoor (used to ride a 12.2hh bay roan dartmoor)

On another forum I go on (a U.S one) OP stands for Opening Post not Poster, so you could say "GG1986 said in their OP......".

It seems there's dialects even in internet speak.

I always thought that was In My Humble Opinion. Why ever would you give your opinion if it was not honest?

Either I guess. Honest opinion is like saying 'no offence but'. I hear it all the time and it drives me bonkers. I guess saying in my humble opinion amounts to the same thing. I don't like either much! :p

You're all stars, I will now wonder through the forums with a bit more clarity and understanding...thanks very much.

Also, asked an old friend about said bay roan pony, and he was a New Forest. The others I wouldnt know, but the little chap i rode was a new forest apparently, and still going by all accounts...grand old age of 37 now!
