Soooo a lot has happened since i last posted so ill do this horse by horse!!! First of all my tb that i decided to give up eventing with has been going well and i have registered him for BS although we seem to have been struck with a little bit of four faultitis so working on lots of gymnastic gridwork exercises at home before we go out again. I think he is most miffed that there is usually 12 fences in a sj course rather than the 8 in eventing! Here are a couple of piccies of him jumping!
Next horse is Will, he has been going really really well and the penny seems like its definitely starting to drop. He went out unaff sj and did a lovely double clear and came 4[SUP]th[/SUP] (only at 2ft6 but its not the height with him) and hes been out xc schooling a few times and is jumping really well and his hacking has improved massively too so definitely onwards and upwards with him! Anthony is taking him round Ely hunter trials this Sunday so keep fingers xd for him carrying on being a clever pony and keeping 4 feet on the floor!!! Here are some photos of him xc schooling!
The third horse is my broken one Danny who has been off for a year with his damaged suspensory. Unfortunately the day before I was due to start riding him again his leg blew up and I just knew hed redone that suspensory and so took him into the vets for scans and lo and behold he has indeed redone that leg so he is now an ornament for the foreseeable future, perhaps in a few years he will be able to do some hacking but he is pretty much now retired at 10 so with him now out of the picture i found i had nothing left to event!!! Therefore i made the decision to use all my savings to buy a really nice eventer ready to go out and about now. By a funny coincidence the guy riding William had the perfect horse for me for sale so I rode him a few times and took him xc schooling and he passed the 5 stage vetting with flying colours (with the vet commenting how super he was ) and decided to buy him!! So this is introducing El Dorado (Duggie) he is a 5yo 16.2hh KWPN with posh fancy breeding. He has won every dressage test hes done and hes won a couple of newcomers bsja too. He is very sweet and straightforward so Im hoping he will be the perfect horse for me to have fun and get some confidence back on! I am heading to Ely hunter trial on Sunday with him and I have just entered him for Poplar BE so hopefully exciting times ahead!!
