Cover for Life?

I kind of understand it, but would love more info and ideas on which company is best. Any advice would be very welcome.

Many thanks.:)

Sorry love I meant to reply to this yesterday but forgot.

As I understand it (and we have it for Chlo), if your dog is diagnosed with a condition, then they will continue to pay out every year, to your limit.

I.e. Year 1: dog diagnosed with condition Z. Given tablets X and Y, insurance pay for up to £WWWW

Year 2: tablets X and Y paid for, any further treatment related to condition paid for, up to £WWWW.

Year 3: As above.

This only works if you stay with your insurance company, and if you move then any previous conditions wouldnt be covered (as per normal). Hope that helps!

I'd go with petplan, some companies offer "cover for life" but they have a fixed amount for a condition so once that amount is paid out (maybe £10k) then they will stop paying- they can say cover for life because they may pay £1k per year for 10 years for arthritis or something and it will likely cover for life..

Ok, just my experiences :)

PetPlan are very good but expensive and beware, some of their policies are only 12 month (not renewing cover for existing conditions) or cash limit per condition.

Axa offer the same/very similar cover but cheaper IME.
Greenbee (John Lewis) are also getting good reviews.
M&S also offer what seems to be good insurance but there was a big hoo haa about them a few years ago.

Have a look at this thread on MSE (I'd only look at the last 10 pages - it's been running years!)
