As I am a novice at this breeding lark! I was wondering....

1) Do I get anything to prove my Mare has been AI'd to chosen stallion?? ie a certificate?

2) How would I know it is not Donkey semen ( apart from the long ears at birth!!!!!!!!!!) if no documentation?

Surely you need some form of ID to register foals otherwise it would be unverified parentage???

yes you should get a covering certificate from whichever studbook the stallion is graded with...... asssuming it is graded.... afraid no idea if it isn't.....

The stud who owns the stallion normally send out the cover notes, 2 of mine have arrived still waiting for the 3rd, all mine also have to be DNA'd at the time of branding.
