Just got B's in this morning's post. But I don't want to register this foal with the stud book that the certificate came from, I want to do it with the studbook that B is graded with - does that matter?

I rang up SHB t'other day because of Bea (she's to Tiger so full TB) and as long as you can veryify the breeding on both sides and have the covering certificate they will accept it - providing of course it will make more than 14.2; do you think she could manage that?!

Yeh go with SHB(GB), I had a hell of a problem in that if I'd have used Weatherbys it would have cost me in the region of £800

So I've gone with the New Forest Society and they will be registed as first cross New Forests and have Goshka Ringo on their passports. Some societies wouldn't allow his name on the sire bit

Anyone with a Weatherbys Passport (be it full TB or in the NTR) can get it overstamped with any other Society. My TB's also have stamps in their Weatherbys passports with the SHB(GB) and one TB mare has two stamps from SHB(GB) and the SPSS. These are pure TB's who have raced, and who are now graded broodmares and show at County level, therefore they had to be registered with the SHB(GB) in order to show them. Another mare has Weatherbys and BWBS stamps. As for costing in the region of £800 with Weatherbys, I think you may have added an extra 0 to the figure at the end. It costs less than a hundred pounds if you register them as foals and then slightly more if you leave it to yearlings or older. If they've quoted you £800, I seriously would get back in touch as someone obviously has told you wrong. Hope this is of some help.

hmm didnt realise that!!! angry now!! i bought a filly a few years ago had all her covering certs etc but her dam died at birth and her owners didnt bother with her wetherbys papers so i reg her with shgb with no parentage but this way i could of at least had her sire line grr!!
