Cow bedding as a horse alternative?

I’ve just seen some good bedding for cows pop up on a Facebook ad - think it was called Envirosystems or something similar. It was described as ‘warm, cushioning and stays put and doesn’t move around’.

Now I’m not thinking of changing as I’m loving Silvabed but it’s got me thinking could this be used for horses too? Would it be a cheaper alternative?

If it is the one I have seen too they say it is too dusty for horses and not suitable

EnviroBed is the same stuff as Megasorb. EnviroBed premium has added sawdust.

Now I quite liked Megasorb but I did find it dusty, However I was given a huge load of split bags so unsure if that contributed to the dust. Maybe had they been fresh and sealed it would have been better. Very easy to muck out though.

Megasorb is dusty enough to trigger my asthma.

I like Megasorb too but if it’s meant to be dusty it won’t be any good for my boy who is a bit sensitive to dust in his older years.
