when i try to get on my boy to ride he trys to cow kick me why does he do this then as soon as i get on he is fine and never does it any other times either?

I went through this with mine but when I was on board. I had his saddle re-flocked and he was much better.
He will still re-act this way if he gets a smack, so he can be resistant but I do believe his saddle was partially to blame

Agree with missled - can you get someone to check his back, saddle and also the way you're getting on? Could be fine with most horses but if he has a sensitive/cold/currently tight back/has changed shape since saddle fitted/etc mounting could be pulling him off balance and/or hurting. Higher block/ someone holding opposite stirrup/ standing into the opposite stirrup and walking off for a few paces before actually 'sitting' could all potentially help.

i have had his saddle done not so long ago i have tried different ways of getting on as well but as soon as a sit on the saddle it stops!
