Does anybody do this or are there any clubs in the UK or Ireland?
If not, would anybody be interested? Would it be legal?
I had a go recently in the States and it was brilliant fun, even though I was only going at 0.5mph.
Apologies if this has been discussed in the past, I was just wondering!

I would think it is unlikely there are any clubs in this country. The laws surounding the posession on firearms in this country & N.Ireland would probably make any attempt at setting up a club of this kind impossible. I doubt if wanting a Section 1 Firearm for this purpose would be accepted. It is not as though we have any tradition regarding this.......... unless you all want to be Dick Turpin?

Yes, that's what I thought re:gun laws. Oh well, it was only me wondering, I'd never heard of it before a few weeks ago.
Didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did, even at a snails' pace.

There are lots of re-enactment groups around, including Western / Cowboy groups. You would not be able to fire live rounds, but you might be able to shoot blank firing guns. Not as much appeal I know (as an ex-pistol shooter), but I guess you do get to ride fast with a gun!

It was black powder from modified .45s they would shoot with over there, which I assume might be quite dodgy here.
Even the practise was fun with the empty gun, or, before that, just pointing a finger at the balloon and saying 'bang!', even though I looked a bit silly......
