Cows Shot

I think the farmer in question is a well know local "character", who is known for his hatred of authority be it government or local council.I suppose the press couldn't say why the cows had been shot if the police are prosecuting, but it would've saved a lot of speculation! Obviously something must've been very wrong with them.
Incidentally, I wouldnt say Chirk was rural,it has a huge kronospan factory and cadburys,plus that end of the village is very near the bypass, which is probably why they were anxious to get them contained.
